Imprint - When Knowledge Pool enters the battlefield, each player exiles the top three cards of his or her library.
Whenever a player casts a spell from his or her hand, that player exiles it. If the player does, he or she may cast another nonland card exiled with Knowledge Pool without paying that card's mana cost.
So any spell cast really triggers another cast. After mulling this over for some time, it hit me. A standard deck that could get better from Knowledge Pool.
Oh, the beauty! Let me show you exactly how this combo could work. To set the scene, let's say I have Pyromancer Ascension already out with 2 counters on it.
1. Cast Knowledge Pool. Assume it resolves successfully.
2. Let's assume among the imprinted cards is a Lightning Bolt.
3. I cast a Lightning Bolt from my hand.
4. Both Knowledge Pool and Pyromancer Ascension's abilities trigger.
5. I place Knowledge Pool's ability on the stack first, then Pyromancer Ascension's ability.
6. PA's ability resolves and Lightning Bolt is copied. It is placed on the top of the stack and resolves. 3 damage to target player.
7. KP's ability resolves and the original Lightning Bolt is exiled. I choose to cast the Lightning Bolt in exile from imprinting. PA triggers again.
8. PA's ability resolves and Lightning Bolt is copied. It is placed on the top of the stack and resolves. 3 damage to target player.
9. Lightning Bolt resolves. 3 damage to target player.
After Knowledge Pool is on the field with Pyromancer Ascension, I can do 9 damage for 1 red mana. I think when I get some time in the next few days, I'm going to build a prototype for this deck and see how it plays out.
